(not that game, silly!) Samantha and her basketball team were in a tournament and came in second in the Atom Girls division, after winning a thrilling two-hour game sunday morning (more on that to come). Elsewhere my nephew Andrew (front row, second from left) was playing in the Ontario Indoor Cup in Vaughan, see below. The Arsenal Boys were crowned Ontario Indoor Cup Champions Feb 3 at the Soccer Centre in Vaughan. The boys had to come from behind to edge the Brampton Battlecats in the final after giving up 2 early goals. Massimo scored the first 2 goals and then midway through the second Dominic rocked the house with a 20 yard strike that spun in off the crossbar and sealed the victory for the boys. Legislative Pages are the only people, other than the MPPs and the Clerk's staff, who may be the floor of the Ontario Legislature. Pages are Grade 7 or 8 students who live in Ontario, have a high academic standing, are interested in current affairs, and have good interpersonal skills. Pages prepare MPPs' desks in the Legislature, carry messages and documents between MPPs in the Legislative Chamber and to their offices, work right in the Legislative Chamber while it sits, receive their lessons and tutoring for their term of duty in Queen's Park, and have a once-in-a-lifetime experience within the Ontario government.
